Oh...oh god. Why would you ask that? D: Um, um, christ--this is hard! I LOVE THEM ALL. But...I'll have to go with Reili, just because no one can resist an adorable 8 year old like her. :'D

Shinkirou. He feels like a mass of contradictions (which he is) and it's really hard for me to get into his mindset. He's still fun though, just harder for me to tap into. XD

4) Who is your most developed?
Sakuya.

5) Which OC would you want to date if they magically came to life?
Oh god, why would you ask that. Um, maybe Tael, since the other two are gay? (Oh god, Jade, stop glaring at me, I won't steal your man.) He's a little too much of a tsundere jerkass for my tastes though.

6) How many girl OCs do you have? Boy OCs? It OCs?
On this meme...?

7) If you were stuck in a burning building what do you think the third OC on your list would do?
Suzumi would be shouting obscenities up, down, left, right, and probably other directions that haven't been heard of. Then she'd decide she's totally not meeting her end in a blaze of flames, so she'd find a way out--and drag my ass with her after a few moments.

8) Name one thing you regret about one of your OCs.
Angst. Lord do I give them all angst. Even Reili has angst (in the worst way, hargh, I am so sorry, Reili) and she's my most cheerful character!

9) Which of your OCs do you think would make the best father/mother/it parent out of all your OCs and why??
Kyoutei for the best mom, hands down, just because she adores kids and wants to be a mother. Jade is a close second, but Kyoutei wins. XD

Best dad? It's a tie between Aki although he's probably a better waifu, lololol and Tael. Aki would be the quiet, guardian dad, while Tael is the fierce papa wolf.

10) Which of your OCs do you think will most likely be put in jail?
Suzumi. Also Shinkirou once his dad stops covering for him.

11) The eighth of your OCs was put into the future! What will their job be?!?
Jade becomes an accomplished swordswoman--but opts for the quiet life, retreating to Amerio and taking over Bea's shop.

12) Name the first OCs catch phrase! (if they don’t have one just make one up)
"Mwee!"

13) Do all your OCs live together or are they separated?
Um. Let's see...

Sakuya, Aiyame, Aki, and Saya all live in the same place.

Suzumi lives with her not-appearing-on-this-meme sister, when she's not running around in the Digital World.

Kyoutei and Shinkirou live in completely different places.

Jade and Tael travel with the two other Chosen. Reili, who is from the same world, lives all alone in a tower, before she disappears.

14) Are there any pairings that are in your OC list? (they can’t be with someone else's)
Jade/Tael, although it never really goes official because Jade dies. The others are rp characters, and are paired with other people's characters.
(Sakuya/Akito, Aiyame/Chiaki, Kyoutei/Yuki, Aki/hahaha, you haven't guessed yet?)

15) Your seventh OC switched bodies with you for a day! How will they react at the end of the day?
"Christ, ain't there any hot girls where you live?"

He is 15, the last I checked, though I could be wrong. XD

Reili!

Hmm. The mountains. Aiyame is afraid of drowning. :'D

Um.....none of them, actually.

Oh wow, I've gotta think here. Jade was first, most def. Last was...Suzumi, I think?

Oh god. Suzumi is a street brawler with an absurdly high pain tolerance, but Jade is a swordswoman who happens to house the element of water inside her and so could manipulate the water inside your body--

Skinny, but still healthy enough! Aki's on the frail side though.

Sakuya enjoys sukiyaki. Aiyame can't eat. :'D

Um. Reili. Just because you'd force her to use her magic and she'd RESET THE WHOLE FREAKING WORLD.

Hmm. I want to say Jade, because she's often cast into leader roles.

Hey guys!

I'd like to talk serious (or at least serious enough, anyways) about something today. I mentioned it on my Twitter and was amused by this, but it sort of irked me. Not because I was called it (because I really could care less XD), but because the person in question had the definition all wrong.

So.

Let's talk cyberbullies.

_{....*bekuki is totally right, it sounds like a kinky sex play. ANYways.}

Cyberbullying, as defined by Wikipedia: "[it] involves the use of information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm others."

Here, have another: "...[it's] when the Internet, cell phones or other devices are used to send or post text or images intended to hurt or embarrass another person."

And another! "...[it's] a situation when a child, tween or teen is repeatedly 'tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted' by another child, tween or teen using text messaging, email, instant messaging or any other type of digital technology."

Does this ring any bells for people? Reminding you of a certain imageboard? No? Well, it certainly reminds me of trolls on /b/. It also reminds me of High School, funnily enough.

Moving on. So, now we have definitions. But what of them? Anyone can get a definition off Wikipedia and not really understand it. So, let me propose a scenario...

Scenario: Alice has been having issues with Bob at school, and the two don't really get along due to contrasting personalities. Bob creeps Alice out, and though Alice has tried to be nice about it, she very politely asks for Bob to stop hanging around her. Bob appears to agree.

For the next few weeks, however, Alice keeps getting e-mails. Hateful ones, ones filled with disturbing words and death-threats. Every time she thinks she gets rid of them all, more of them flood her inbox. For a time, the e-mails stop, however then she starts getting constant phonecalls. Random deliveries come at all hours of the night, things she'd never even placed orders for in the first place. Letters begin after a time as well, and despite her never hearing of any of these people before, they've all heard of HER...


Scary, right?

That's what cyberbullying is. Cyberbullying is continued, repeated, non-stop (as in from the time they met you until now, they've done nothing but harrass you constantly and bombard you with stuff) harrassment--essentially like an internet troll, except trolls usually do it because they get amused by it. Cyberbullies, on the other hand, will do it just to make you fall. They'll use anything they have on you--your real name, your address, your phone number, any internet screennames or e-mails...

So I've established what it is. Now let me establish what it's not. Let's spin up another tale...

Scenario: Anna, Sarah, and Sue used to be roommates. The three used to be friends, but they had a falling out. While Anna and Sarah have their faults, Sue's are aggravating, because she is a lazy roommate. She promises she'll get rent in ASAP or that she'll finally start cleaning around the place--and then doesn't. Anna and Sarah are patient, oh man are they patient, in hopes that miss Sue will change her ways and be a better person. When they try to give advice, Sue storms off in a tantrum, as she likes to assume everything on her is an attack. Anna and Sarah stop sugarcoating their words after a while, and when it becomes obvious Sue will not change, they decide they just can't do this anymore.

Sarah leaves first, leaving a letter saying she gives up and for Sue to not contact her again. Sue responds by running to the internet, wangsting in an online journal on a site of the reader's choice, saying her friends must be cyberbullies because they were mean to her. Anna stumbles upon this and gets upset, as Sue is painting herself to be the victim...


So, to clarify:

Friends falling out with you =/= cyberbullying
You not liking their blunt advice =/= cyberbullying
You getting your feelings hurt =/= cyberbullying


Before people go saying OMG X IS A CYBERBULLY, really think about what you're saying. Has X never ever in the history of ever been nice to you? Has X abused your contact information? Has X spread nasty rumors about you, saying you have sex with goats or something? Has X continued to e-mail you after you've told them not to? Has X sent threatening phone-calls and letters? Has X mail-bombed your house with anything from diapers to empty boxes to condoms? Has X been going to all your friends, telling them that you're evil and terrible and deserve to die?

No?

Then they're not a cyberbully and people just need to work out their issues.

I was all set to write some long-winded entry about how the internet is like high school all over again except you can never leave--except I realized I really didn't care that it was like that and that people shouldn't have to defend their actions on the internet, no matter how they come off.

So instead--how about another recommendation entry? The last one (which was music!) worked out pretty well and I got a lot of cool new people to listen to.

So, denizens of the internet! Recommend shows to me! This pretty much falls under anything, from what's on TV every Thursday to cartoons to anime to j-drama/tokusatsu/whatever! You don't have to know what I like, because I'll practically watch anything! (Really! I am not a space-western person and I loved what I saw of Firefly.)

Alternatively, you can recommend books! Because I love books too. ^___^


In other news, my dad gets home today. Yay! Also I have a DS Lite now. <3

For those of you that want to ask how I feel, I feel--exactly the same as I did when I was 19, really. I guess I have to wait 'til I'm 21 to really feel awesome and all. On the plus side, if I ever randomly flee to Japan, I could drink there. : D

Of course, I happen to be alone this year, so GUYS, GUYS. THROW A CYBER oh god I just realized how WRONG that sounds VIRTUAL-PARTY IN THE COMMENTS. It will be fun to read, in any case.
